2025 Small Farmer of the Year Nomination


The Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce and Lowndes County Government are partnering to present the 2025 Farmer of the Year Awards, sponsored by CJB Applied Technologies. 

Anyone may nominate a Small and/or Large Farmer. To be eligible to receive the award a farmer must farm in Lowndes and/or Echols Counties. 

Small Farmer of the Year- A small farmer is considered someone who has earned an average (over the last three years) annual gross farm income of less than $200,000.   

Large Farmer of the Year- A large farmer is considered someone who has earned an average (over the last three years) annual gross farm income of more than $200,000.

Submissions are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30th.
